Mission Statement:
The CleanLife Initiative is an integrated program designed to support individuals transitioning from addiction, incarceration, and other high-risk circumstances. Through structured fitness, nutrition education, and community support, CleanLife equips participants with the tools they need to build a healthy foundation for long-term stability and lasting mental resilience.
History:
The CleanLife Initiative emerged from The Bridge Napa Valley, a 12-month residential program dedicated to helping men overcome addiction. A core element of The Bridge program is its mandatory daily fitness regimen, at its conception, a local CrossFit gym sponsored each resident. Over time, it became clear that regular involvement in fitness training significantly impacted residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The daily workout became the best hour of the day! As graduates of The Bridge continued to engage with the fitness community, the program’s success led to the creation of an in-house garage gym. The vision expanded to reach even more individuals transitioning from addiction, incarceration, and other at-risk circumstances. This evolution resulted in the birth of The CleanLife Initiative, designed to provide fitness, nutrition, and community support as tools for rebuilding lives and creating long-term stability.
Core Components:

What is CrossFit:
CrossFit’s methodology is founded on the first precise, scientifically rigorous definition of fitness, and the program produces results that can be measured and replicated. The methodology is a set of universal principles and definitions that can be applied in many different contexts.
The stimulus — what CrossFit is: constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity combined with eating meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no added sugar in quantities that support exercise but not body fat.
The adaptation —what CrossFit achieves: increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains. Pursuing this goal is pursuing fitness, and aiming to maintain work capacity over a lifetime and pursuing health.
The CleanLife Initiative is the health and wellness arm of The Bridge Napa, created to serve residents and the broader at-risk population—including those overcoming addiction, youth in crisis, and individuals reentering society after incarceration or trauma. Through fitness, nutrition, and community, CleanLife provides the structure, discipline, and support needed to foster healing, resilience, and long-term transformation.
